Kindle Vs. Nook: The Battle Of The Tablets

The great beasts have come! What should you do? Buy It!

So, which one, The Amazon Kindle or the Barnes and Noble Nook? Dont worry, we will give you the facts and let you decide for yourself.

The Revoulution has come upon us, changing each lengthy year. A decade ago it was just black text in a published book. Nine years later everythings electronic, even the books. Some people like to walk into a bookstore, sit down and relax in a cozy chair, others want books on the go, when they go to the beach they want to read ten books, and visible ink. For those on the run, book tablets are here! For the past two years, two popular brands have been ruling the market. Amazons Kindle and the Barnes and Nobles Nook! So, are you looking at those ads? We'll give you the info straight and you decide.

The Kindle: is the tablet e-reader from the online bookstore Amazon.

The Kindle

The first generation is able to hold a two hundred book collection. It has expandable memory in a SD slot. The original was not sold internationally. It sold out in five hours, every single one! Whoa!

The second generation kindle is able to hold a whopping one thousand two hundred titles in its collection! There is also an option to have an electronic narrator read the text to you. Slimmer and sleeker than the first one, Kindle 2 does not have a SD slot.

The third generation is the Kindle DX which has the same features as the Kindle 2 is used for newspaper and textbook view. It's the slimmest Kindle yet! It also has natural flipping and has better eye perception because of its color and slightly larger screen. A graphite color was introduced later.

The Nook: is the tablet e-reader for the bookstore Barnes and Nobles.

The Nook

There is only one generation of the Nook but add-ons are availible to install, such as the Nook 1.4 and the Nook 1.5. The nook is far different from the Kindle because of its color touchscreen and easy switch to new versions. PDF is provided in the original format. Also the astonishing nook is set at a lower price and is not as major as the Kindle. And finally the Nook a bigger SD slot to expand memory instantly.

So which one tops the scales in this all out war? Well, the Barnes and Nobles Nook does because of its lower price, download of new apps and download new versions of the nook without buying a new one, and color touchscreen. The Kindle may have more title power but you only have to buy one Nook in place of three kindles! So check the stats on your time and decide for yourself!

FaceBook Vs. Twitter: The Great Aging War

FaceBook and Twitter are the monsterous looming giants of the internet. Hundreds of millions of people sign on and off each day sharing ideas, comments, and thoughts. Some people walk away rich and some people are just happy to share. So, which one tops the scale in the web? FaceBook by Marc Zuckerberg and Twitter by a team of techies.

Facebook: is different from twitter because it has a far less complicated system of messaging. Facebook is like chat and skype. All the people can see the posts and share long messages, facebook is a up to down system where the caracters are endless and the text and videos and pictures are placed on top of each other. People can start new chains of messages and create a new discussion within a current discussion. People can have countless friends and share news in a feed which is shared among the groups of buddy's. All in all Facebook has grown over the years and even a movie was created.

Twitter: is mainly used to send bite sized messages of daily life to the public not just friends. The one hundred and 40 carachter limit sets the sights of twitter staff and makes life tiny! Direct messages can be used to send private notes to friends and share ideas with people in one note. If you choose to follow someone their messages will be sent to your feed so you can retweet it or send a message back. If you have some followers yourself tell them whats on your mind and they will be happy! Twitter packs your life up into a small package and ships it out into the world.

So, who tops the scales in this challenge? Facebook does because of its up to down layout, simple interface and video sharing and one news feed collecting everybodys discussions. Even though Twitter has a clean vibrant look, the system is just plain hard to understand is confusing to even the most experienced techie. I would prefer having both of them and comparing the amount of new information you get with both. Thats how you decide!

Google vs. Bing

Which one? Google or Bing? What to choose? We'll give you the facts and let you decide.

We use them everyday. Search engines to solve our everyday problems from cooking recipes to homework help. And with cell phones with high-speed internet, we use search engines everywhere we go.

Google: It was started by two college students in 1996. It is the most used search engine in the U.S. It has over 40 special features like email and online shopping. Google also owns Youtube, one of the biggest video sharing websites in the world. Gmail is the email from Google, many use it and it has great features like video chat and even International phone calling. Google is also very simple, the home page doesn't have page of "Watch This" or "Read This". It's only large Google sign and search bar with links to gmail an other features. Google also made Google Instant, a search program on Google that guesses what you are searching and displays the results while you type. This is both an advantage and disadvantage, this makes searching easier and quicker. But if used on slower computers or slower browsers, the time it takes to display all the results with every keystroke takes a very long time. The ads for google dont interfere with the search results, instead they are placed on the right hand collomn for ease of access. Over all Google has many features that are esy to use and very helpfull.

Bing: A fairly new seach engine has a modern look and feel to it and has instant playing videos and a new background picture everyday. Owned by Microsoft Inc. this search engine was started in mid 2009 and was integrated with Hotmail and Yahoo search. It is the 4th largest engine in the world and has the features of MSN and Yahoo. Pictures can be resized on site and videos can be played at the same time on the same browser. Bing has the same features as Google search except it has not developed into a major company like Google. Ads are a slight problem for Bing users, as they interfere with the search results. Bing could grow into a good well standing search engine with more features and add-ons.

So, who wins this challenge? Well, Google does. Sorry Bing, better luck next time. Google wins because of its fast browser connections, advanced search features and its multiple add-ons such as Google Chrome. On the other hand, Bing has the energy to grow into a great company like Google and can have an impact on the internet. Bing has pictures changing each day and Google has vast files of changing logos for special occasions such as contests and famous birthdays. So for modern looks Bing wins. Google wins advanced features and popularity. Maybe in the future the tide will turn. Bing has a lot of time to adapt and advance, like Google did since 1996.

Gmail Vs. Hotmail

Which one? Gmail or Hotmail? What to choose? The facts are here my friends. Gmail has google buzz which is like facebook in email. Hotmail has messenger while gmail has google voice.

Hotmail does not lead you directly to your inbox instead there is a dashboard, while gmail leads you to the mail and there is a constant flow of tips that let you know when you get new mail.

Gmail has more setting freedom and more themes and gadgets than Hotmail.

So the final tally records that Gmail is better because of freedom and themes and website organization. So if you dont know what to chose, go with google.

Technology Doomsday!

With all the new technology pouring in, some are just plain old junk. Useless things advertised at great amounts! For instance the MacBook Air! The netbook popularity went down a staggering 30 percent in the last 3 years. Anyway Macs cost a lot of money for an unworthy operating system. And windows seven, its all the rage but its not as easy to handle as the trusty windows XP. The common techie has to find his way through maze of unreliable new features and format. But it has more space and terrific speed! I wouldnt prefer a laptop windows seven, you really need a PC to get the job done. Then finally the horror! The microsoft office word 2010! It looks blander than the 2007 version and the buttons are hard to find!
I would prefer word 2007 instead! Some are genius, while some are questionable. Who knows?
"But in a world like this things can change, sometimes quite easily"
